Revo Technik provides a unique approach towards tuning your late-model VW/Audi/Porsche. By utilizing the existing systems on your vehicle, Revo is able to enhance the original programming without compromising the reliablity
of your engine. Revo has a team of engineers who take the original source-code of your ECU, and modify it to their specifications. Multiple performance levels are available, from the basic Revo Stage 1, to the all-out
Revo Stage 3 (limited applications).
By providing additional features such as user-friendly table changes, multiple performance programs, and anti-theft programs, Revo Technik has a competitive edge. Additional features include the SPS switching systems,
which allow the end user to specify each setting in their tune (SPS 3 only), enable the REVO anti-theft (SPS 2, 3), or just turn the software off while the car is in for service (SPS 1, 2, or 3).

Revo Technik currently offers three stages of tune for the VW/Audi 1.8T 150/180hp engines.
Stage 1 will net approximately 210bhp total, with 230ft-lb of torque. With 94 octane fuel, the boost and timing curves can be increased beyond the basic Stage 1 settings. (This can be adjusted by JSP for existing Revo Customers as well at no charge.)
Stage 2 requires several hardware upgrades in order to maximise the potential of your upgrades. Typically you will see an additional 10-15% increase on top of the original increase of Stage 1. While the hardware requirements don't specify brands, they do list the following:
- An aftermarket performance exhaust system
- A 4 bar fuel pressure regulator
- An optional aftermarket diverter valve
- And a Revo SPS
Additional hardware upgrades such as a front-mount intercooler and a turbo-inlet-pipe will net additional gains. Revo Stage 1 software is upgradeable to Stage 2 at a discounted rate. Please call for compatibility.
Stage 3 is the ultimate upgrade. While not upgradeable from Stage 1 or 2, (full price for Stage 3 is required as it is a major upgrade), Stage 3 is practically limitless in the amount of horsepower increases available.
Based on heavy hardware upgrade requirements, Stage 3 is designed to work with aftermarket turbo upgrades such as the Garrett GT28RS, a 3K KO4S, or another T3/T4 turbo with equivalent mapping. Typical horsepower figures are in excess of 250bhp.
Stage 3 software disclaimer: Revo Stage 3 software has been developed to operate within specific parameters according to manufacturer’s tolerances and aftermarket manufacturer’s hardware specifications. Installing Revo software on vehicles with hardware modifications other than those specified can cause unsatisfactory performance and possible engine damage.
Power gain examples:
- Standard VAG 150/180bhp engines modified with a KO4 or EO5 turbo upgrade can expect to see power outputs in the region of 250bhp
- Standard VAG 150/180bhp engines modified with a GT28RS turbo upgrade, intercooler upgrade and race fuel can expect to see 440bhp.
